• Documented authorization flows rather than collection of third-party passwords
• Encrypted network transport for deployed services
• Secrets kept out of source control
• Restricted access to OAuth credentials and tokens
• No scraping or undocumented FamilySearch endpoints
• Read-only FamilySearch integration during the initial product phase
